TWorld Jewelry Design AWARD 2011 was hold with the belief of “Let Your Talent Shine Through”. Through the contest, we wanted to create the future that people cherishes the ties and bonds.
We have got 482 submissions across the globe from people who have various occupations, such as, professional jewelry designers, architects, art students, web designers, office workers, teachers and housewives during the entry period from June 1st to August 31st.
We set up three categories of bridal jewelry, diamond jewelry and bridal tiara for the entry. Each category got diverse designs, exhibiting mysterious, novel or cutting-edged ideas.
Ryohei Miyata, the president of Tokyo University of the Arts, Senju Hiroshi, the president of Kyoto University of Art and Design, Sejima Kazuyo, a well-known architect and Mizuno Rinri the president of Hiko Mizuno Jewelry College were assigned as final judges.
